FAQS                                                             (317) 253-JUMP

What are the safety guidelines for the equipment?

There are safety instructions rules posted on each inflatable and safety requirements are listed within the rental agreement that must be followed. All of our superior-grade inflatables are engineered and manufactured for commercial use.

Who will deliver, set-up, and take down the bounce houses?

Bounce About Indy installers will deliver, set-up, and take down all equipment.  All bounce houses and other inflatables need to be anchored for safety.  We do not offer customer pick-up.

How long is a rental period?

Inflatable rentals are up to a 6 hour period unless otherwise stated.  Pre-arranged additional rental time can often be accommodated.

How much space do I need for set-up?

Please allow a minimum space of 5 feet on all sides for each inflatable. Dimensions of each inflatable are listed on the web page at www.bounceaboutindy.com.

What pre-preparations are required from the renter before delivery?

The area needs to be flat, dry, and clear of all debris and sharp objects (rocks, sticks, pet droppings) before the unit can be set in place.  An inflatable set-up on grass is always best.  Also, remember that all Bounce Houses have different heights. All are tall so please check the dimensions of each inflatable and consider tree limbs, ceiling height, or anything directly above the set-up. If unsure about space needs, check with us.

Please do not run sprinklers or mow lawn the same day in the set-up area.  Grass clippings in the bounce houses and grass stains are extremely difficult to clean.  Never add water to any non-water inflatables, water on the inflatables requires an additional set-up day for cleaning and drying after the event. It you water a non-water inflatable, you will have an additional cleaning and drying fee for required labor.

What are the utilities needs?

All our bounce houses, combo units, interactive units, and slides require a continuous air supply and will require an electrical outlet (a normal 110v home power source) within 90 feet of the inflatable air blower.  We recommend a dedicated 20-amp circuit breaker to run the blower that maintains air inflation of the bounce house.  If an inflatable is over 90 feet from a needed electrical outlet, then a generator will be necessary and Bounce About Indy can rent a generator to you based upon their availability.

If you are renting a water slide then we will need to be able to connect to your garden hose in place that can reach the set-up.

Do you use stakes to secure the bounce house? Who is responsible for underground utilities?

Yes, we stake bounce houses in grass. The customer is responsible for checking that the location of inflatable set-up is safe for ground staking. You may contact the city and should do this a few days in advance of the party. It is a free service.

Is there a rental agreement?

Yes, if you have not signed our rental agreement prior to the day of the event, then on the day of your event, our equipment installers will have a copy and we will need your signature prior to equipment usage.

What are the methods of Payment?

Cash, charge card, or a personal check is acceptable if there is a verifiable credit card and driver’s license when renting for home residential usage.  A Company check is also acceptable for businesses, religious organizations, and schools.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

You may cancel your reservation; however, you will forfeit the deposit. If you cancel before 48 hours of the event then you may apply the deposit to a new rental date in the same calendar year. If an event is not cancelled and equipment is taken to the rental site, then the full amount of the rental reservation will be due. Deposits are non-refundable without any credit if cancelled with 48 hours of the event – unless due to bad weather. See the next question.

What weather conditions will cause cancellations and are there weather refunds?

We cannot safely set-up in rain, snow, high wind (in excess of 20mph). In the event of a bad weather forecast the morning of the event, you will be given the option to cancel prior to the event and receive a full refund of your deposit.  Note: Once the delivery truck is loaded and on the way to the rental site, then the full amount of the rental is non-refundable. There are no partial refunds given if the event is cut short due to bad weather.

What are the charges for rentals?

Each rental fee is provided in the item’s description.  Rental prices stated on web page are subject to change and do not include the Indiana 7% sales tax.

Are there Delivery, Set-up and Pick-up Fees?

A single fee covers the delivery and set-up, take-down and removal. That fee varies according to location. It is $25 for all of the Indianapolis and Marion County. Some neighborhoods outside of Indianapolis are also $25, some slightly more. Please call for outside this area.

Rental Period:  Early morning delivery is available.  Pick-ups are the same day of rental. Rentals scheduled for pick-up after 9:00 PM or after dark will have an additional charge for late pick-up.

Is there a deposit amount?

Yes, it will vary depending on total rental expenses. A credit card is required for all deposits.

For rentals under $300, the deposit is $75. Reservations over $300 require a 25% deposit.   A reservation is not in effect until the deposit is received.  The full payment balance is due prior to the set-ups.

Can we wear shoes in the bounce house?

No, shoes will cause permanent damage to the vinyl.  Also, shoes in bouncers make the bounce house dirty for the users. No shoes, please

Who is responsible for cleaning?

The inflatable should simply be wiped free of loose debris with a clean dry cloth.  Make sure that there is no debris, or toys, or clothing left inside.  DO NOT USE any chemicals or cleaners on inflatables.  If liquid gets on the inflatable, clean with warm water only.  We will disinfect equipment after every use and provide thorough cleaning.

Any unit that is unreasonably dirty will be charged a $25 per hour cleaning fee.  Important warning:  NO silly string or fireworks may be used anywhere near an inflatable.  Silly string acts as almost an acid on vinyl and is very difficult to remove and WILL cause damage to the inflatables.  If the inflatable is damaged due negligence, then the renter will be responsible for repairs of the damage.

How many people and what weight limit is allowed?

Each inflatable has different usage limitations.   We will provide information on the limitations.  An adult needs to supervise the children jumping to ensure the limitations are followed at all times.

Do inflatables cause lawn damage?

We cannot guarantee that the inflatable will not affect your lawn. In most cases, it will only temporarily flatten the grass. In hot or dry weather, a good watering after the inflatables have been removed is recommended.

Do you provide event attendants?

Not normally, but with advance notice Bounce About Indy can provide event attendants at a $25 per hour rate per attendant with a minimum booking of four hours.

Are there inspections?

Yes, for safety reasons each unit will be inflated and inspected for damage and cleanliness before renter’s use and then again before removal of equipment.
